At CES 2008, Sleek Audio has presented detailed specs on a revolutionary headset technology, the VQ. An industry first, the Sleek Audio VQ system allows listeners to customize their audio experience the way they want, especially when it comes to listening dramatically different styles of music, from symphonic to hip-hop or from death metal to trance.

The Sleek Audio VQ technology uses interchangeable treble and bass port pieces which can be easily swapped and whose use allows different perception of various types of music.

This technology is especially useful and welcome as it addresses the individual's specific listening capabilities - each human ear has its own design and perceives different frequencies in different manners; the VQ technology allows the listeners to enhance or cut certain sounds according to their own likes and thus boosting the listening pleasure.

Even more, the Sleek Audio VQ technology allows you to get the best experience with various genres. While hip-hop tracks might need a serious bass boost your portable player or ordinary in-ear headphones might not be able to deliver, the symphonic music needs a slight treble boost - the best results are obtained not by endlessly trying to tweak the EQ on the source or trying to settle for the best compromise solution but by actually having a headset that sounds different.

The bass filter tips have a 12dB difference between them at the 20Hz threshold while the HF filter sports different roll-offs to compensate for the loss of treble detail usually encountered with in-ear monitoring, delivering outstanding results with both music listening as well as with professional usage. Even more, the new Sleek Audio VQ headset comes with an unique swivel cable insert, allowing you to wear these headphones the way you want, for maximal comfort and excellent listening pleasure.

The Sleek Audio VQ will start shipping in Q3 of 2008; preordering is available for $230 and includes free shipping, while the retail price will be $250 plus P&P.
