Your room can definitely sound better with acoustic panels

My Theater is a brand new product showcased for the first time at the CES 2008 and it has everything to do with your room and home cinema system sounding way better than you ever could think it would. My Theater is an acoustic panel solution with a very broad use and spectacular results (as its manufacturer claims).

Now, for all those not so much into acoustics, the big problem in any room is that waves of sound reflect and bounce off almost everything: walls near and behind the speakers, ceiling, floor, furniture and so on.

Multi-purpose

This phenomenon tends to diminish the audio quality as it introduces severe phase distortions and many other unwanted side-effects that deteriorate the quality of your listening. In some cases, with particularly acoustically-hostile rooms, the quality of the proper sound gear has a minimal influence on what you hear: you can't tell the difference between $50 a pair speakers and a $1,500 equipment.

It's obvious that nobody wants to spend money to hear crappy sound, so this is where the United Plastics My Theater panels come in: they are made from a special material that absorbs certain frequencies and minimize the bouncing effect of the sound. This way, by eliminating pretty much of the undesired reflections, the listener gets more of the proper sound emanating from the speakers and can enjoy a dramatically better sound.

My Theater panels can be easily hanged on walls at ear/listening position height, with no fuss and no efforts; they are suitable for presentation and conference rooms, your own living room, both small and larger chambers. Of course, the number of panels has to be set according to the room dimensions. These panels come in four colors: sandstone, steel grey, burgundy and black and in two preset dimensions. Customization is possible.
