CES 2008 brought a really neat announcement: legendary rapper and music producer Dr. Dre is about to release his personal headset, codenamed "Beats".
Dr. Dre has teamed up with another legendary name in the audio industry, Monster, a renowned manufacturer of high-end cables and professional-use gear, and together they plan to release a new high-performance headset destined to deliver an unprecedented sound palette, usually met in studio-grade gear.
The "Beats" was conceived by Dr. Dre while the design was mutually done in collaboration with Monster; the cable manufacturer also embedded some of the newest and most sophisticated technology to date in this headset, looking to achieve a very serious performance, even by the standards of the most discerning listeners.
The new headset has been engineered to respond to the contemporary music needs and sports an ultra-fast transient response, with unbelievable quality and a rich, deep bass. The "Beats by Dr. Dre" come with a striking design, with glossy ultra-wide headband with extended adjustment, hinged ear cups and a very good-looking carrying case. All the cabling inside has been provided by Monster for the ultimate, zero-loss performance; even more, the "Beats by Dr. Dre" have a push-to-listen mute button, extremely convenient for being able to hear others speak without taking the headphones off.
Besides styling, this new headset will offer professional-grade audio quality destined for home users and will, by any means, be able to deliver a rich and full sonic experience with any kind of music, wherever pristine sound and exceptional detail is a must.
