Audio Technica have announced at the CES 2008 their new in-ear noise canceling headphones, codenamed ATH-ANC3 and developed as a sequel for the widely-acclaimed ATH-ANC7 circumaural headset. These new headphones are destined to let you enjoy clean audio from your fav tracks and radio shows while on the go in noisy or disturbing environments such as trains, planes or liners, with children screaming around you or people just chattering.

The ATH-ANC3 from Audio Technica will help you get rid of these perturbing factors without having to crank the volume up and thus start damaging your hearing:

these headphones come with very small, integrated microphones which capture the ambiental noise and filter it over a wide frequency range, diminishing the acoustic interference and allowing you to get more from your tracks.

As Audio Technica specify, the ATH-ANC3 eliminates as much as 85% from the exterior noise, and creates a sound wave which is 180-degree out of phase with the signal you're listening to and acts like an audio eraser for the unnecessary sound.

These headphones can work with any audio source such as MP3 and other portable multimedia players and will fit snugly in most ears as they come with three exchangeable rubber ear pieces .

The ATH-ANC3 also come with a hard carrying case to protect them and the accessories while the control box can be fitted on your clothes using the supplied clip. Even more, the active noise reduction works up to 50 hours with only one AAA battery and can be turned off in quiet environments or when you want to listen to what's going on around you; the audio functions are working even without a battery so there's no need to fear you'll not be able to listen to your media if the battery dies.

The Audio Technica ATH-ANC3 have a 15-22,000Hz frequency response and 104dB sensitivity, with a 90 Ohms impedance. Selling for a MSRP of $170.
