“Very impressive, this result is,” explained a spokesperson for the European Organization for Nuclear Research

This April 1 - as in April Fools' Day - scientists with the European Organization for Nuclear Research, better known simply as CERN, announced the discovery of the Force.

What's more, the researchers claim to have learned how to control it. To prove that they're not making stuff up, they released a photo showing physicist Valerio Rossetti using the Force to reheat coffee.

The photo is available below. Even to the skeptic eyes, it's obvious that is has not in any way been tampered with. These guys actually did it, they found the Force and figured out a way to control it.

The CERN team explains that, apart from reheating coffee, the Force can be used to influence minds or to lift heavy things out of swamps. Pretty cool, right?

“We hope to continue to study the Force, and perhaps use it to open doors with our minds and fly around and stuff,” said a CERN researcher named Fan Buoi.

Apparently, the one person who is not in the least thrilled about this discovery is scientist Dave Vader, who kept breathing heavily in disgust all throughout the conference announcing the find.

In fact, word has it that Dave Vader plans to start his own research group and move away from the standard model of particle physics. All those who look good in dark robes are expected to join him.
