InsideMacGames is reporting that Deliver2Mac, Virtual Programming's digital download service, has added a popular strategy title to its lineup of downloadable Mac games. CDV Software's Blitzkrieg is a World War II real-time strategy game that has players controlling vehicles, weapons, and entire units in campaigns spanning over 80 missions in total.

Anyway, since the most important aspect of a video game is its features, Mac users should be happy to hear that the latest Deliver2Mac addition offers thrilling real-time strategy game set during World War II, more than 200 3D vehicles with realistic weapon and armor data, 3D landscapes that extend tactical possibilities, multiplayer game via LAN, historically accurate battles in Africa, Russia and Europe, more than 40 kinds of infantry with specialized weapons and more than 250 types of buildings and objects.

CDV Software's RTS game, now available on the Mac, also features destructible landscapes, while enemy equipment can be stolen and used. Numerous videos from World War II provide a thoroughly absorbing atmosphere. As far as key gameplay features are concerned, CDV Software confirms the player's ability to build bridges, dig trenches, lay mines and call for air support (fighters, bombers, low level fighters, reconnaissance, paratroopers).

Requirements call for MacOS 10.4 Tiger, G4/G5 or MacIntel with 860 Mhz, 256 MB RAM, 32 MB video RAM (GMA 950 supported), 2.6 GB hard drive space, DVD drive and, of course, Internet access.
