In accordance with Apple’s February 2 announcement, the CDMA Verizon iPhone 4 is available on Apple retail shelves beginning today, Tuesday, February 10th, 2011.

The CDMA-capable handset, which has been designed exclusively for Verizon’s wireless network, is also physically available at more than 2,000 Verizon stores across the United States.

“Beginning on Wednesday, February 9, all qualified customers will be able to order an iPhone 4 on Verizon through the Apple Store (www.apple.com) for delivery or reserve for in-store pick up beginning February 10,” reads Apple’s February 2 announcement.

“Beginning at 7 a.m. local time on Thursday, February 10, iPhone 4 on Verizon will be available to all qualified customers at Apple’s retail stores. iPhone 4 will also be available at more than 2,000 Verizon Wireless Communication Stores nationwide,” Apple said last week.

Earlier this week, analyst Mike Abramsky of RBC Capital Markets said, in a note to investors, that he expected more than 1 million Verizon iPhones 4 units to be sold in the first week, according to AppleInsider.

The CDMA iPhone 4 features the same Retina Display found on its GSM (AT&T) counterpart, the 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, HD video recording capabilities, Apple’s A4 chip, and virtually the same glass and stainless steel design, with a few (rather indistinguishable) differences on the handset’s steel frame - the antenna.

Internally, the smartphone also boasts a new dual-band chip which, at least technically, should make the Verizon iPhone 4 a 'world-phone'.

Thanks to iOS 4.2.6, the phone will also allow customers to enjoy a new Personal Hotspot capability, to connect up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices via their iPhone.

The CDMA iPhone 4 is available for $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a new two-year contract through Verizon.
