Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan are out for blood in new Neil Jordan film

Many years after the smashing hit “Interview with the Vampire,” director Neil Jordan returns to the genre with “Byzantium.” Below is the first official trailer for it.

The film tells the story of two female vampires, “sisters” Clara (Gemma Arterton) and Eleanor (Saoirse Ronan), always on the run from their past but never out of trouble.

They’re as different as can be, which is why the first problems appear in their relationship: one is sensual and vindictive, the other is an introvert and a romantic, if vampires could ever be described as such.

“Byzantium” is based on the young adult play “A Vampire Story” by Moira Buffini, and will be out on June 28.

If the rich colors and beautiful images in the trailer haven’t sold you on it yet, perhaps the always fascinating Gemma will. Enjoy!
