Leading provider of infrastructure solutions for wireless carriers around the world Bytemobile, Inc., has just announced the release of a new product line, the T3000 Adaptive Traffic Management System, marking a change in the traffic management on mobile networks.

The company's new solution was meant to offer carriers the possibility to efficiently manage the access of millions of mobile subscribers to applications and content through a single platform.

At the same time, Bytemobile announced the release of the first product in the series, namely the T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager.

This is the first fully integrated in-line platform designed to offer automatic adaptation and management of all mobile Internet Protocol (IP) traffic in real-life network conditions.

“This enables operators to improve the quality of experience (QoE) for their subscribers as they access video content from YouTube, Netflix and other sites, download and use Android and iPhone applications, and engage in Skype and Facebook video chats,” the company explains.

“Combined, these sources account for more than 50 percent of all data traffic on mobile networks today. With traffic expected to increase 25-35 times over the next five years, operators are facing capacity constraints that require innovative, cost-effective solutions.”

Bytemobile’s T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager will also eliminate the need of deploying more than one traffic control elements in the network.

The carrier notes that it will offer significant cost reductions when network elements for caching, load balancing, deep packet inspection (DPI), web optimizations, and analytics are involved.

The total cost of ownership (TCO) for traffic management will be reduced by around 50 percent for any wireless carrier, the company explains.

“Through the use of adaptive traffic management and auto-tunable traffic control features, the T3100 improves the utilization and performance of existing network capacity by 30-50 percent,” they continue.

The new T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager was designed to be NEBS Level 3-compliant, and comes with built-in redundancy for all hardware and software components.

The new T3100 can be easily deployed in the core of mobile networks, between the RAN and the Internet, the company continues.

“Acting as an intelligent, content-aware control point between the Internet and the mobile network, the T3100 eliminates the need for external DPI or dedicated load balancing traffic management solutions,” Bytemobile concludes.

What they are not announcing is in January 2012 they laid off a bunch of qa and a bunch of developers. Anytime a tech company is laying off developers it means they are having financial problems.

January 2012, Bytemobile just laid off big portion of development and QA due to money problems , not sure I would trust my business to a ten year old company that is having financial issues.
