Yes you did read right! Microsoft's Zune digital media player costs a mere 90 dollars. And there is no catch to it. It is simply a holiday promotion from Amazon.com. As you can see from the adjacent screenshot taken from Amazon.com, the e-commerce website is prepared to go as low as 90 dollars for the Zune device.

The Microsoft digital media player has a standard price of 249.99 dollars. Right now, another Amazon.com promotion has lowered this to 229.95 dollars. But this price can get even lower with a discount of more than 60%.

But you have to get actively involved. And by this I mean that you have to participate in Amazon.com's Customers Vote and just choose Zune. Currently, Microsoft's media player is in hard competition with T.M.X. Elmo, WowWee Roboreptile Robotic Reptile and George Foreman 10-Burger Jumbo Grill.

"First, vote for the deal that you want. If you vote for the deal that gets the most votes in the end, you will be eligible to receive a claim code only for the winning deal. If you vote for one of the runner-up deals, you will be eligible to receive a claim code only for that deal, at the runner-up discount," reveals Amazon.com.

No less than 1,000 Zune 30 GB Digital Media Players will be made available at the discount price to voters.

"Voting ends Sunday, Dec. 10, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time. Come back to this page anytime on Tuesday, Dec. 12 (12:00 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. Pacific time), to find out if you have been randomly selected for the opportunity to purchase the item that you voted for at a discounted price," reads a message posted on the website.
