Here, a 40-year-old woman by the name of Wina Lia is selling the house she can no longer afford to live in. Oddly enough, she claims that she is ready and willing to marry the man who buys it, just as long as he promises to respect her and treat her well.
Wait, what?
The 40-year-old woman lost her husband quite a while back, in 2000. She has since gone on a few dates but says that she did not get along with either of the men who tried to woo her. Hence the fact that she is still very much single.
Being a mother, Wina Lia says that she needs a husband to turn to for help raising her kids. Urged by the real estate agent trying to find a buyer for her house, the 40-year-old woman decided to include herself in the add announcing the sale.
“Dian suggested I put up the tagline ‘Buy the house and marry the owner at the same time,’ and I said OK to it. I’m looking for a husband anyway,” the single mother explained her decision to offer her hand in marriage to whoever buys her house.
Wina Lia says that, since she put her ad in a local newspaper, she has been contacted by dozens, if not hundreds of men hoping to get a tour of the house and a chance to know her better. The woman can only hope that her future husband is among them.
Great expectations
The 40-year-old says that, apart from buying her house, the man hoping to marry her must be either a bachelor or a widower. Besides, he must be a responsible and preferably religious person willing to look after his new family, Wina Lia' children included.
In case anyone was wondering, the woman's house sits in a little district dubbed Sleman, not far from the city of Yogyakarta on Indonesia's Java island. Those interested in buying it are expected to cough out $76,500 (about €72,300), Oddity Central informs.
