BioWare and Electronic Arts are thrilled that Dragon Age 2 managed to sell over 1 million copies in just two weeks after it was launched, and have announced that throughout April, anyone who buys or has already bought Dragon Age 2 will get Mass Effect 2 on the PC for free.

Dragon Age 2 was, without a doubt, one of the most expected games of the beginning of the year and, even if it hasn't really pleased some fans of the first Dragon Age: Origins, it has still sold a huge amount of copies.

As such, in order to thank all those who purchased Dragon Age 2, BioWare, its developer, and EA, its publisher, have announced that they will be giving out free copies of Mass Effect 2, the developer's previous title, for free to all those that bought the game up until now and anyone who buys it up until April 30.

How do you get your hands on Mass Effect 2? It's quite simple, as you just need to follow the steps highlighted by BioWare below.

To qualify and get your Mass Effect 2 PC download code, please follow these steps before April 30, 2011 at 11:59pm PDT: -Purchase your copy of Dragon Age II (if you do not already own one). -Activate the Online Pass content that came with your copy of Dragon Age II (The Black Emporium). -Start the game and log in using your EA Account or create a new EA Account. -Visit the special offer website and log in with that EA Account. -Enter your Online Pass code and click "Submit". You will then be provided the code for Mass Effect 2. -Open the EA Download Manager and enter the code to commence download.

Bear in mind that only copies of Mass Effect 2 for the PC will be given out, but it doesn't matter if you bought Dragon Age 2 for the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

The Cerberus Network online pass for Mass Effect 2 is included in the download, and will be tied to the account on which you have Dragon Age 2. Besides it, downloadable content packs like Zaeed - The Price of Revenge, Cerberus Weapon and Armor, Normandy Crash Site, Cerberus Arc Projector, and Firewalker Pack, are also available for free.

If you bought Dragon Age 2 as a used copy, then you need to head on over to the Bioware social network and buy the Black Emporium DLC, which costs $10 or 800 BioWare Points.
