Bulletstorm is on the receiving end of a pretty great deal if you opt to get it from Microsoft's Games for Windows Live marketplace digital store, as you'll be receiving a free copy of Gears of War on the PC alongside the new first-person shooter.

Bulletstorm is one of the big all-new intellectual properties set to be launched at the beginning of the year, and the companies involved, People Can Fly, its developer, Epic Games, its owner, and Electronic Arts, its publisher, are pulling all the stops to make it as attractive as possible.

Now, for gamers that want to get Bulletstorm for the PC, Epic and Microsoft have announced a new promotion on the Games For Windows Live marketplace.

If you buy the game starting with its release date of February 22 and up until March 8, you'll be getting not just Bulletstorm, but also a free digital copy of Gears of War 1 for the PC.

This peculiar deal stems from the fact that the same development studio, People Can Fly, ported Epic Games' title to the PC platform many years ago.

Bulletstorm will cost $59.99, while Gears of War normally fetches a price of $19.99, so it's a pretty sweet deal.

Sadly, it's just available for US gamers, so other people won't get to take advantage of this deal on the Games for Windows Live marketplace.

Don't forget that if you buy Bulletstorm from the EA Online Store, you'll be getting a free copy of Shank.

In other Bulletstorm news, PC gamers will, in fact, receive a demo of the bombastic shooter, but before you start refreshing the game's official webpage, there's a catch.

Epic Games boss Mark Rein confirmed on this Twitter account that while a PC demo is scheduled to appear, it won't be launched until after Bulletstorm's official release, later this week.

"Bulletstorm PC demo is in the works! Won't make it in time for ship date but should be available shortly after," said Rein via Twitter.

Bulletstorm is set to hit the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this Tuesday, in North America, and on Friday in Europe and the rest of the world.
