Remember Jordan? Kidding - how could anyone possibly forget this vision of beauty, grace and style. Well, if you thought Jordan had the ideal life - something she's been trying hard to make us all believe for a while now - you were wrong. It seems that all is not quiet on the boob... I mean, Jordan front, and that the British glamor model is dealing with a major scandal of her own. Surprisingly, no part of her body is involved in it, and no, she didn't start talking about her husband's penis again either. This time, it's the old "nanny with a big mouth" routine. My, these celebrities never learn. I mean, how many times should we repeat the basic rule: never mistreat your kids in front of your nanny and then fire her, as she's bound to head straight to the tabloids and sell her story.
Which is what happened now. Enter Becky Gauld, Jordan's former nanny, whom the model fired while shooting for her reality show. I mean, it's one thing to be sacked just like that, and a completely different thing to be fired on live TV - which only means one thing: double the humiliation, double the desire to take your revenge. But Becky, apparently, knows where Jordan keeps most of her skeletons locked safely away in the closet, and is willing to give us a peak at her former mistress' deep dark secrets. Her allegations? Well, the usual. Jordan binges on alcohol, is a bad mother and only poses as "mommy of the year" when the cameras are rolling.
"She would sometimes come in completely trashed and start vomiting. They would shout and Peter would call her a slag" Becky states. "I only saw Katie or Pete put the boys to bed four times in the 18 months I worked for them" she adds. She also claims that Jordan and her husband taught Harvey (Katie's older son who is blind and autistic) to swear for the amusement of their friends. In fact, Becky makes it sound like Jordan hardly spends any time with her kids at all. "Their life is very different to the one on TV. The reality is she's selfish and self-centred - and NOT the perfect mum. If viewers had seen what I saw off-camera they'd be astounded. The only thing they do as a family is photoshoots. Junior was old enough to talk but never asked for his mother. In many ways he was closer to me". Ouch!
Although this story seems a little too shocking to actually be entirely true, I think there must be at least a grain of truth in it - probably the part about the binge drinking and the fighting. I mean, we always see Jordan out on the town having fun and staying up until the wee hours of the morning - and the fact is, she wants to be seen and loves her party girl reputation. Jordan is the expression of modern exhibitionism, but it looks like this time, it's all come back to bite her on the a*s. Of course, her official position is that it's all one big lie, but I have a feeling we haven't heard the last of this scandal. Stay tuned for more news.
