Wireless carrier Orange recently announced  the launch of a business homescreen on the new Samsung Omnia Pro B7330. According to the company, the new interface is available for its medium and large business customers and is meant to offer them fast access to email, voicemail, calendar, contacts, and customer information, so that important information is at their employees' fingertips.

Both the new Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 and its business homescreen are meant to offer easier access to important applications for business users, Orange added. Customers will receive one-click access to GPS features and Orange Maps, as well as to latest news through a Reuters news service widget, which is available on the Orange Widget Player.

In addition, users will be able to prioritize icons, so as to access different services much easier and save time. Not to mention that they can create a VIP contacts menu, which will bring them closer to vital contacts, and that they are enabled to place shortcuts on the homescreen, for faster access to different applications or other content.

The new Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 also includes the Orange Device Management solution, which offers IT managers an easy solution for delivering settings and create a simple interface for all handsets in the company. The solution is meant to offer time savings when it comes to installing applications and updating the mobile phones.

“The Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 is a strong addition to our business signature range of devices and as a WM6.5 device, it not only provides a step up in customer experience but also provides the perfect platform to showcase the Orange business homepage and a range of multimedia business applications,” said Anthony Keyworth, director of Business Products, Orange UK. “Devices such as this hold the potential to make businesses more efficient and are becoming strategic tools for customers, rather than purely communication devices.”

The new handset comes to the market with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system on board, the first such business device from Orange. The Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 also includes 3G connectivity, Push Email and a great QWERTY keyboard, so that users can work faster when having it in their hands.
