American President George W Bush seems to have understood that Guantanamo Bay prison is believed as a disgrace to the American values and takes into account all possibilities before making a decision on the issue.
When asked by Fox News Channel if the detention facility is about to be closed,
the president replied "We are exploring all alternatives as to how best to do the main objective, which is to protect America. What we don't want to do is to let out somebody out that comes back and harms us".
The defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld was unaware of the president's declared intentions, recalling Gunatanamo Bay has always been the most criticized aspect of U.S projects after September 11, 2001.
The prison camp depicted as representative for an "American Gulag" holds about 540 terrorists and terror suspects, most of them to have been victims of abuse and even authorized interrogation unlawful techniques, according to the media.
