A bus driver from Buffalo has pulled over to help a woman and ended up saving her life. She was leaning too much over a bridge and he pulled over to see if something was wrong.

UPI writes that the driver is Darnell Barton. He literally jumps out of the bus to talk her off the bridge.

The 37-year-old driver, whom everybody calls "Big Country," noticed that she was hanging on to a railway over the Scajaquada Expressway.

"She was distraught, she was distant, she was really disconnected. I grabbed her arm and put my arm around her and said 'Do you want to come on this side of the guardrail,' and that was actually the first time she spoke to me she said yes," he recalls.

After he sat down to talk to her, others joined him, among them a state prison corrections officer and a counselor.
