76-year-old actor Burt Reynolds has been hospitalized with the flu, reports say. He was apparently severely dehydrated and suffered from a rather severe case.

According to E Online, Reynolds had to be treated in the Intensive Care Unit. His reps reassure fans that he is doing much better, and that hospital staff has made sure to tend for his mustache as well.

"He is doing better. They are taking care of him and his mustache," a spokesperson said.

Reynolds has been in and out of hospitals in recent years. In February 2010, he underwent a quintuple bypass surgery, the same publication notes.

The year before, he had had back surgery that landed him a pain pill habit. News of his addiction circled the world as he checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic.
