The people at Freeridecoding have updated BurnAgain FS, the company’s flagship app for Mac OS X. The new release includes support for Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), as well as improved integration with the Finder, updates to the user interface and several bug fixes.

BurnAgain FS allows users to add, remove and edit files on a CDR, DVD+RW, DVD-RW and CDRW, without erasing, until the disk is full. They can even change the title of the user’s disk prior to each burn. Disks burned with BurnAgain FS aren't tied to additional reading software or BurnAgain FS itself, after writing. One can access the media on all platforms, while BurnAgain FS automatically preserves the special Mac file attributes (resource forks) as well.

BurnAgain FS features include: change the content like on a hardisk; change disk title at each burn; preserve resource forks; platform-independent format; usable with CD, CDR; usable with DVD+RW, DVD-RW. The program requires an Apple-supported Writer (internal/FW). The trial version of Freeridecoding's helpful Mac OS X program is limited to 20 trial burns (the nag screen is also one of the limitations).

System requirements include an Intel or PowerPC Mac, OS X 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 and an Apple-supported Writer (internal/FW). Interested parties should note that BurnAgain FS uses the ISO9660 rock ridge standard, meaning that only disks employing that standard (that are not closed) can be appended by BurnAgain FS, if you do not use BurnAgain FS from the start. Each session added requires a session overhead in addition to the content added.

Those who’ve purchased BurnAgain DVD on January 1, 2008 or later can get BurnAgain FS for free. They simply have to unlock the application with a BurnAgain DVD license. Customers who have purchased BurnAgain DVD before 2008 are eligible for a special upgrade fee.
