It seems like Google is really the answer

Funny burglary reported in Colorado Springs: two persons with original door keys managed to enter an amusement center and tried to open three safes in order to steal the money and other values. However, something went wrong and it all turned into a funny robbery. According to Gazette.com, it all happened when the two guys tried to spray a security camera to remain unidentified while they were cracking the safes. However, the surveillance devices were still on and managed to record the entire robbery. They were not pros and this was proved by the 75-minute period in which they tried to open the safes.

According to the same source, the burglars also had original pass codes and safes combinations but it proved to be a little bit more difficult than they expected. After a frustrating period for opening the safe, they found the answer: they opened a computer, loaded Google and searched for "how to crack a safe" and "how to open a safe". Although it might sound stupid, they managed to open them after the search engine helped them with web search results.

"They're not professional safe people. No, they're not." said Colorado Springs police detective Chuck Ackerman for Gazette.com. "The first few times it actually cleaned the lens and made it a better picture. It looks like they were going. They got to the point where they said, 'The hell with this. We'll talk to somebody and come back and try again."

After the safes were opened, they stole no less than $12000, a laptop computer and a PlayStation. Their robbery experience was also proved by the paint discovered on a fire alarm which was probably looking very similar with a surveillance camera. "If they didn't work there, they knew somebody who did," the same police officer said.
