Daniel Severn is the unfortunate burglar that had to beg the victim to call the police after attempting to rob his house. The 27-year-old man tried to get through the bathroom window but got stuck in the process and had to wait for more than 90 minute to be found.

When the owner of the house in Howden, East Yorkshire found the thief, he was hanging over the toilet and begging “Please, help. Call the police,” Daily Mail notes. The burglar got trapped in the window and left hanging upside down with his head on the toiled for more than an hour.

He tried to contact the police by himself, but he dropped his phone and had nothing else to do but to wait for the owner, Mr. Richard Wilson. When he was finally found, around 5.30 am, he was begging for help – some might say that is karma.

Mr. Wilson contacted the police and officers came to free the unfortunate outlaw, but until they arrived there, the two men had a short chat, and a quick photo session, as Ms. Wilson couldn't let the man go without a photo of him trapped in the window left open for the family cat.

Severn must be one of the most hilarious robbers in history, as he was extremely happy when the officers came to take him. He admitted to being a heroin addict and had almost 80 convictions for 32 court appearances, according to Daily Mail.

According to the official statement, the man got his foot stuck climbing in the house and hanged with his head almost in the toilet until the family found him. “Although the family had the horror of finding him, he has expressed genuine remorse. He gave them a lot of detail. He told them his name. And that he was a heroin addict,” the defending barrister said in court.

The family's teenage daughter is now too scared to continue living in the house, afraid of another similar burglary that may not end up as funny as this one. Even if it may seem as an amateur act, Severn was actually prepared for a serious theft as he had gloves to avoid fingerprints and even a Stanley knife.
