Burger King sure knows how to make people remember where they won their stuff

Last week I posted an article and video about a bunch of dudes that won a Nintendo Wii at a crummy mall. Now, Microsoft couldn't just leave Nintendo have all the glory and set up an Xbox 360 Premium give-away at Burger King. David was kind enough to prove that prizes such as this are indeed real. The pack consists of an Xbox 360 Premium, wireless adapter, faceplate, vision camera, gold subscription to Xbox Live, three extra wireless controllers, a $50 BK gift card, as David sent a picture of the bundle to Xbox 360 Fanboy.

But there's one small detail that I have intentionally left out. Both picture and description show that David got the best possible features and accessories for his next-gen gaming system (the gaming site also reckons that there had to be someone knowing their way with games over there at Burger King), but there's an extra, so called accessory, included in the bundle and it's nothing electronic, or even mechanic. It's that freaky King mask. Why? Why would they go and ruin something as beautiful as that Xbox 360 Premium bundle? Look at it. What's a guy supposed to do with a mask like that, use it for a Halloween costume? The least they could have done was send the whole outfit if that was the reason.

But enough with the mask, I guess that's BK's way of saying "remember, you got that 360 Premium from us and there's more where that came from," like one would forget where he/she won a $500 worth of gaming system. But why isn't Sony considering this kind of thing? Really, they can't be that uptight. Besides, winning a PS3 is even better than winning an Xbox 360. People still relate to the PS3 as an intangible object.
