Burger King is launching a limited edition burger in Japan, and it includes black buns. Unfortunately, the Ninja burger will only be available there.

The black buns are not new for the Japan Burker King locations. According to Kotaku, the Premium Kuro (Black) Burger offered in the country last year also featured the specialty bread.

When asked about the reason for using them at the time, Burger King officials blamed it all on "irrationality."

The color of the bread is obtained by dipping it in bamboo charcoal and adding "black ketchup," produced with squid ink and containing garlic.

The Ninja burger includes a Whopper beef patty, hashed brown potatoes, and bacon. The product will be included on the menu on October 25, and it will cost $6.75 (€5).
