This past Wednesday, the Twisted Root Burger in Dallas agreed to lend a helping hand to the staff at the In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue Education Center in Wylie, Texas.

Thus, said burger joint agreed to donate some elk meat, which was later given to a sick lion living at said animal sanctuary. Sources report that Aramis, as this sick lion is called, is quite picky when it comes to food, and that elk meat is the only source of nutrients which seems to agree with it.

Despite their contacting a local hunter, the staff at the In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue Education Center were unable to get their hands on any elk meat.

Because of this, they were left with no choice except contact the owner of the Twisted Root Burger, Jason Boso, and ask for his help.

“I just so happened to get a shipment of 50 pounds (roughly 22.5 kilograms) of elk meat today and I was about to grind it into hamburgers, but no way! I’m going to take it to a lion!” Jason Boso later told members of the press.
