After a lengthy wait and quite a bit of teasing, Bungie, the studio that created the Halo franchise, has officially revealed its next big project - Destiny.

Bungie, after creating the massively successful Halo series, decided to become an independent studio and, back in 2010, it confirmed that it was partnering with Activision to create a massive 10-year project called Destiny.

Now, after plenty of leaks and lots of rumors, Destiny has been officially revealed to the world through a special video, available above.

According to Bungie and Activision, Destiny will be a first-person shooter with a massive world that constantly changes depending on the players’ actions, who take on the role of Guardians of humanity.

The game will require a constant online connection but it won't be an MMO, for example, and Activision has already confirmed that it won't charge a monthly subscription once the game appears on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

You can expect lots more details about Destiny to appear very soon.
