The development team at Bungie delivered an update for Destiny at the start of the week, weighing in about 300 MB, but the company did not offer any sort of details about the changes that were being made to the title, despite the fact that it took the time to tell gamers that they might experience some issues with signing in while it was being deployed.

Now the studio has posted some official information on the official site of the title in order to make sure that the community has the details it needs about the way the first-person shooter is evolving.

Bungie states, “Not every update that you apply to Destiny will contain revolutionary changes to the player experience. As we support the world of Destiny beyond the launch, much of what we do behind the scenes will be dedicated to ensuring the services that support the game are stable.”

The hotfix that was deployed for Destiny adds the following:

Engineering -Fixes for Xbox One bootflow issues -Changes in network configuration to improve stability -Fixes for issues causing game crashes

Events -Public Events should occur twice as frequently in public spaces

Since the hotfix was deployed, no major issues with Destiny have been reported by the community, but there are some issues that were present since launch that are yet unsolved.

Player feedback is important for Destiny

Bungie also asks the player base to continue to offer feedback about the title on the official forums in order to make it easier for the developers to see what issues might need to be fixed and what core mechanics need to be improved.

The studio has plans to continue to deliver updates for Destiny, as it continues to work on the downloadable content which is supposed to arrive before the end of the year, called The Dark Below.

Recently, Bungie has also revealed that it has clear plans to deliver more events and raids for the game in order to make sure that all players have something exciting to do in the shooter.

Destiny will exist for a long time

At the moment, we have no official sales numbers for Destiny on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One or last-gen consoles. Video game publisher Activision has only said that it has delivered 500 million dollars (379 million Euro) worth of copies to stores.

Bungie has said that it wants to continue to develop the Destiny universe for at least a ten-year period.
