The loot and gear you can earn in Destiny won't be available for trading or selling to other players, according to Bungie, as it's only implemented a vault system, which means you can share the items across all your own characters.

Destiny is one of the most anticipated upcoming games, and developer Bungie has shown several times that in their adventures players can find and earn all sorts of powerful guns, gear, and other such items.

Now, while answering questions on its official website, the studio has mentioned that these items can't be traded with others or sold to them. The only thing that players can do is to store them in a vault so that they can be accessed by their other characters.

"You can vault them for use by other Guardians that you control, but you can’t give them away to other players. Basically, if you want that exotic sniper rifle, you got to earn it," the studio said.

"The rewards in Destiny are tied to specific beats of action. We want you to have a personal war story that you can trace back to every single piece of gear in your inventory. The weapons in Destiny are like trophies."

As such, don't expect to see Destiny players advertising their guns or gear in exchange for virtual or real-world money.
