The team says only level 26 characters should try it

The first major raid included in Destiny is now going live across the world, and the development team at Bungie wants to make sure that gamers understand some of the mechanics that are associated with it and how they can impact the game experience.

In an official Twitter message, the studio explains that the Vault of Glass content is not limited in terms of the time it will be available and all players will have a chance to test their skills against the challenge when they feel they have the necessary skills and items.

At the same time, progress will only be saved for one week, which means those who enter it should try and complete it within this time frame.

The company adds, “Bungie Specialists have confirmed that, while you may be able to access the Raid before you reach Level 26, such acts would be very foolish.”

Vault of Glass is part of a range of late game content aimed at those players who have already managed to quickly level up their character and want to experience a tough and challenging fight.

A small update with unknown changes

During the previous day, the development team at Bungie delivered a small 300 MB update for Destiny, which affected some gamers by not allowing them to log into the title for a short period of time.

The studio has not revealed any sort of details on the changes that are introduced, but its deployment might be linked to the fact that Vault of Glass is being opened up.

It’s unclear whether a full list of patch notes will be published later in the day.

Coming DLC will expand the game world

Destiny is a game that aims to capture the attention of players in the long term and that means the developers need to encourage them to be sociable and play with and against one another, while also giving them regular new content drops.

The first major DLC delivery for the shooter will take place before the end of the year and is called The Dark Below.

In the meanwhile, Bungie will listen to player feedback and will continue to tweak the core mechanics.

The company has previously explained that it already has a long term ten-year plan for the universe it has created.

Destiny seems to already be a commercial success, with 500 million dollars (379 million Euro) worth of games shipped to stores on launch day.
