The team working on Destiny at Bungie has let it slip that the coming first-person shooter has a yet unrevealed game mode that offers an interesting take on the traditional mechanics of the genre.

In a discussion about the end game of the new title on the PlayStation Blog, a community manager says that the studio has clear plans on how to make the experience attractive for players.

He states, “It might mean that amazing, exotic Sniper Rifle that you’ve been drooling over for the last few months. It might even mean the new twist we’ve put on the as-of-yet-unrevealed game type that makes it feel new and different.”

Destiny is designed as a shooter that includes role-playing and social elements and Bungie clearly wants the experience to have the long term hold over its players that’s traditionally associated with MMOs.
