Video game developer Bungie continues to tease its upcoming Destiny video game project via a series of videos grouped under the Community Theatre label, with a trailer that features old men, pipes and tigers.

The only line in the video that offers some detail on Destiny is: “For years we’ve been working under the cover of darkness on an entirely new universe. And you’ll get to explore it very soon. We’re not ready to lift that curtain just yet. Within a matter of weeks, we’ll be unveiling what we’ve been creating for you.”

Presumably, more clear details and an official release might be linked to a Game Developers Conference talk that Bungie will give, all about the way video game characters are being created.

Project Destiny received quite a bit of information via a leak during 2012, with the company confirming that some of the images that spread like wildfire over the Internet were genuine.

The story of the coming game is supposed to center around the last human city on Earth, which is being protected by a mysterious alien spaceship after our race lost a major war with other interstellar factions.

It seems that players will take on the role of a wondering knight who needs to explore planets, meet characters and battle enemies in order to get the resources that the human resistance needs.

Bungie has originally created the Halo universe for Microsoft, but has since then decided to leave the Master Chief franchise in order to create an entirely new universe.

Destiny will be published by Activision and the game will be the first one in a planned trilogy.

It’s not yet clear whether the new series will be linked to the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 or whether the video game will only be launched on the next generation of devices from Microsoft or Sony.
