A family vacationing to Greece have returned home to notice that their bungalow has exploded.

49-year-old Michele Wright used to live in the village of Beulah, near Newcastle Emlyn, Cardiganshire. As she wrote on her Facebook page, she is now homeless.

Nobody knows why the house has blown up but, as you can see in the photo above, she is fortunate not to have been inside.

She was vacationing with her daughter when she found out that the residence had been blown up.

“I was watching television and there was one horrendous bang. [...] I went outside and it was snowing - it was the insulation coming down from the sky and it lasted for another five minutes,” a neighbor describes for the Mirror.

Fire department officials suspect that a gas build-up has prompted the explosion, but nothing can be confirmed and Wright is not allowed to search through the rubble. She has to wait for an assessment by the insurance company.
