Barely has Bulletstorm been released and already Electronic Arts, Epic Games and People Can Fly have announced the first downloadable content for the flamboyant shooter.

Bulletstorm was launched yesterday in North America and is scheduled to debut on Friday in the rest of the world, and it seems that the companies involved in the title see a problem in already detailing the first add-on for the game.

The first Bulletstorm DLC will be called the Gun Sonata pack and it brings three new maps for the game's Anarchy cooperative multiplayer and two for the Echo mode, which tracks and compares the performance of players from all over the world in specific sections from the game.

In case you wanted a bit more customization with all your shooting, you'll be glad to hear that the Gun Sonata pack also brings two new enhancements for the Leash weapon, Flamingo and Pulp.

"From the wretched Sewers of Stygia to the dilapidated ruins of Hotel Elysium and the open spaces of Villa, the Gun Sonata Anarchy maps provide even more settings for players to work together in order to pull off fantastic team skillshots," EA said about the three Anarchy maps.

The two Echo mode maps are Crash Site, where Final Echo soldiers must navigate a crashed ship filled with enemies, and Guns of Stygia, in which players must escape an enemy prison.

The Gun Sonata DLC is scheduled to arrive this spring for the Xbox 360, costing 800 Microsoft Points, and for the PlayStation 3, costing $9.99.

A PC version of the Bulletstorm add-on is unlikely, but there might be some hope, depending on the sales that edition of the game reaches until spring.

Bulletstorm has been developed by Polish studio People Can Fly, under the guidance of Epic Games, and published by EA.

The game emphasizes killing with skill, prompting players to obliterate their enemies through over the top executions, thus receiving points that can be used to upgrade their weapons.
