Security vendor BullGuard has just announced the launch of BullGuard Mobile Security 10 for smartphones. The solution covers more mobile platforms than any other product available, as the application is compatible with Android, Symbian, Windows and Blackberry phones.

BullGuard Mobile Security protects smartphones by stopping viruses, spyware and hackers from accessing the phone. I addition, the app keeps personal details safe even if the phone is lost or stolen.

“All the risks that are a part of your life when you go online from your computer are just as real when you use your phone to check for Facebook updates and news, to receive e-mails and access your bank account,” stated Morten Rinder Stengaard, Product Manager at BullGuard.

Some of the key features of the security solution include:

- Antivirus and Antispyware: it protects phone's data by real time detection and removal of viruses and spyware delivered via direct download, SMS, MMS, e-mail, Bluetooth, Infrared;

- Antitheft: Locks the device to prevent unauthorized access to contacts and data, tracks down the phone with the use of it's integrated GPS tracking function;

- Parental Control: Provides a complete web interface for monitoring your child's phone including text messages and photos. Helps you keep your children safe from harm;

- Firewall: Protects your phone from hackers and network attacks, keeping it in a safe environment and undetectable on public networks;

- Spamfilter: Keep the device clean, block unwanted calls and messages;

- Basic Backup: Save your contacts and calendar to your online account and restore them in case the device is damaged or lost.;

- Support: Free 24/7 support when the users need it.

“Viruses and other types of malware don’t care what device you use. They just need your phone to be switched on - that way they can call paid services, send text messages, steal and exploit personal information such as credit card details, passwords and phone numbers. In short, a smartphone without proper protection puts you at risk,” added Stengaard.

Besides the features described above, BullGuard's security solution can be used on all major mobile platforms, which means that users can transfer their security subscription to a new phone, regardless of which platform it runs on.

BullGuard Mobile Security 10 runs on Android, Symbian, Windows and Blackberry phones and can be purchased for £19.95. A 60-day trial version is also available for download from Softpedia.
