The story accompanying the Windows 8 development process has catapulted Steven Sinofsky, President, Windows and Windows Live Division into the top position among MSDN bloggers.

“Building Windows 8” is a MSDN blog, and this is obvious by just looking at the URL: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/.

Sinofsky published the first B8 blog post on August 15, 2011, almost a month before Microsoft released the first testing preview of Windows 8.

Unless you live under a rock, you’ve undoubtedly heard by now that Windows 8 Developer Preview Build 8102 Milestone 3 (M3) became available for download last week, on September 13.

The first post on the MSDN blog effectively broke the silence around Windows 8, and indicated that the software giant was getting ready to take the conversation around its next OS to the next level.

Now, early adopters around the world can download the first Windows 8 preview build and start testing it, with some even having the privilege of running the exclusive Samsung Windows Developer Preview PC.

On August 15, Sinofsky was talking about how Windows 8 is tasked with reimagining Windows for next generation form factors, as well as for existing computers.

Last week, the Windows boss showed how Windows 8 starts delivering on that promise as early as the preview Build offered to testers.

In the past month, Sinofsky’s Windows 8 conversation has made him the most active contributor on MSDN.

The Windows boss now accounts for 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze achievements, and managed to amass no less than 65,902 recognition points according to the information available via MSDN for his profile.

I think it’s safe to say that if Sinofsky ever quits his current position with Microsoft and starts looking for a new line of work, an alternative is already lined up for him.
