Earlier this month, Buffalo Zoo in the United States welcomed two litters of North American river otter pups. According to caretakers, the tiny creatures are all healthy and active, not to mention utterly adorable.

Zoo Borns informs that the river otter pups born at Buffalo Zoo in early March are related in more than one way. Thus, not only do their share the same father, i.e. 7-year-old Rascal, but their moms, i.e. Daisy and Ellie, are sisters.

The same source tells us that the river otter pups are well looked after by Daisy and Ellie. Although none of these ladies has ever been a mother before, both appear to have everything figured out and to have no trouble keeping their little bundles of joy out of harm's way.

For the time being, the baby river otters are hidden from public sight. Thus, they live in off-exhibit dens together with Daisy and Ellie, and keepers say that it will probably be a few weeks until they make their public debut.

Judging by their cute faces, there is little doubt that, the moment these young otters finally share their face in public for the first time ever, quite a lot of people will flock to Buffalo Zoo looking to catch a glimpse of them.
