Looks like Buffalo will be present at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, the one happening in January, 2012.

There, it will have a variety of items on display, including, as The Verge just let the web know, its first 802.11ac wireless product.

Today's fastest 3x3 802.11n products have a maximum data throughput of 1 Gbps over the 5 GHz frequency.

802.11ac Wi-Fi, while sticking to that same frequency, should have what it takes to push data speeds well over that mark, perhaps 4 Gbps over short distances.

It bears noting, however, that the 802.11ac standard has not been finalized.

In fact, it will only be released in the second half of 2012, so people shouldn't expect Buffalo, or anyone else, to sell products of this sort before then, although a company or two may jump the gun.
