The new release fixes the issue with bridge mode that wouldn’t work properly in auto mode

Buffalo has outed a new firmware package targeted at its WMR-300 travel router, namely version 1.30, which can be applied regardless of the operating system powering your computer.

This new release fixes an issue with the bridge mode, which occasionally wouldn’t work properly in auto mode, as well as the problem with the bandwidth that is automatically set to 20 MHz in 40 MHz networks.

In addition to that, version 1.30 also corrects some typos in the Settings menu and resolves an error encountered when the AirStation exits eco mode using the AOSS button where the SSID wouldn’t be broadcast.

Even though the new firmware disregards the OS on your computer, when it comes to installing this release, you must use Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari browsers in order to successfully perform the upgrade.

If the aforementioned requirements are met, turn on your computer and get and extract the downloadable file. Afterwards, ensure that the PC and AirStation router are on the same network subnet and log into the device’s webUI.

Now, go to the Update AirStation Firmware section, make sure the “Specify Local File” radio button is selected, click on “Browse,” navigate and select the “wmr300-130” file from the newly-extracted folder, and hit “Apply.”

At this point, the update is sent to the router, and after the transfer is complete, the installation process is initiated. You should also know that the router’s LED will blink red while the upgrade is in progress and green when the new firmware has successfully been applied.

That being said, download Buffalo WMR-300 Router Firmware 1.30, take into account all the aforementioned aspects, and apply the latest firmware on your AirStation device. Also, check back with us as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
