Since it's become pretty clear for just about everyone out there that USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed USB) will really become mainstream over the course of 2011 and 2012, Buffalo, a very well-known manufacturer of various storage solutions, has decided to adopt the new standard across many of its latest-gen products, unveiling at CES 2011 no less than four different USB 3.0-powered series of products.

So, at the Las Vegas show, Buffalo revealed the new MiniStation Stealth USB 3.0, DriveStation Axis USB 3.0, DriveStation Duo USB 3.0 and DriveStation Quad USB 3.0, all of which deliver enhanced data transfer rates and backup capabilities.

The DriveStation Quad USB 3.0 is is a high speed RAID enabled storage solution that supports RAID 0, 10 and JBOD modes, and packs four HDD units (up to 8TB storage supported), as well as a heavy-duty cooling system and user-friendly maintenance system.

The DriveStation Duo USB 3.0 only features 2 HDD slots and supports RAID 0 and 1 modes, but enables very fast data transfer rates (up to 225 MB/s) via the SuperSpeed interface.

Next in line come the MiniStation Stealth USB 3.0 bus powered portable hard drive and DriveStation Axis USB 3.0 desktop hard drive, both of which provide plenty of storage space, as well as Buffalo Tools, a feature-rich software suite designed to enhance computer performance.

Of course, pricing depends a lot on the model and available storage space, ranging from $629.99 for the 4 TB to $1199.99 for the 8 TB DriveStation Quad USB 3.0 and from $279.99 for the 2 TB to $459.99 for the 4 TB DriveStation Duo USB 3.0.

Plus, the DriveStation Axis USB 3.0 is available at $99.99 for the 1 TB and $149.99 for the 2 TB models, while the MiniStation Stealth USB 3.0 sells for $89.99 (the 500 GB model) and $129.99 (the 1 TB model), respectively.
