Since there can never be too much portable storage, Buffalo has introduced three Mini Station Turbo PC EX2 portable hard drives.

The newcomers look the same, but their thickness does differ based on capacity and, thus, number of platters.

There is a 500 GB model measuring 115 x 76 x 11.5 mm / 4.52 x 2.99 x 0.45 inches. The 1 TB drive is the same but with a thickness of 14 mm / 0.55 inches. That leaves the 2 TB drive, which measures 19.5 mm / 0.76 inches.

In that order, the Mini Station Turbo PC EX2 sell for 9,975 yen / $100 / €74, 13,860 yen / $139 / €103 and 27,720 yen / $279 / €206. Black and white cases can be selected, and there is even a power saving mode that ensures standby power draw of just 0.95W. Shipments will only begin early next month though (October 2013).
