Network-attached storage devices continue to come out regularly, almost one a day actually (four in this case though). It goes to show that servers aren't all that necessary anymore for home networks.

Buffalo has launched the latest additions to the LinkStation line.

They are called LS210D Series and come in four capacities, dependent on the type of HDD placed inside. The actual NAS is just one product though.

And it could easily be called a drive case, for all that it's just an outer frame with connectors. If it didn’t have Gigabit Ethernet, that is what it would have been known as.

As it is, in addition to the USB 2.0 (no 3.0, alas), there's a Gigabit LAN port, complete with DLNA and Apple Time Machine support.

The price ranges from $183 / €134 to $415 / €305.
