Get your hankies because the onion-slicing ninja is coming

Budweiser’s Super Bowl ads are always a thing of beauty, whether they play tribute to US troops or to the victims of 9/11 and all the amazing people who rallied to help out in the aftermath of the attack, or tug at the heartstrings by depicting the unlikely friendship between a puppy and a gorgeous Clydesdale horse.

This also explains why they are among the most mediated ads that run during the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event in television, where one second of airtime costs in the thousands of dollars.

For this kind of money, Budweiser invests a lot of effort and thought into their product, the commercial. In 2015, on February 1, Budweiser will premiere a new ad for the Super Bowl, and this one too will feature the Clydesdale and the puppy.

We’re yet to see a teaser from the ad, which will be called “Lost Puppy,” but Anheuser-Busch has already released several photos from it (see the gallery below) and a few, very sad GIFs.

You guessed it, the puppy is lost and the Farmer finally understood the error of his ways in separating it from his new friend, the horse. The Farmer wants the puppy back and he’s reaching out to all kindhearted people out there to help him out.

As the first of the two videos below says, you can help Budweiser out, if you spot the puppy, by letting them know on Twitter. The second video is the original “Puppy Love” commercial.

“In the spot, the Budweiser Clydesdales will tell an emotional story and help a puppy who has lost his way learn the true meaning of friendship,” Anheuser-Busch says of the upcoming ad. In other words, have your hankies at the ready, because the onion-slicing ninja is on his way.
