Australian carrier Telstra has just added a new budget-friendly Android phone to its prepaid offer. The Smart Touch 2 is an entry-level smartphone that comes with Gingerbread onboard.

Customers can purchase the device for only $99 AUD (105 USD or 85 EUR) on prepaid. Telstra Smart Touch 2 is far from being impressive when it comes to hardware, which is why it’s been put on sale for such a low price.

The smartphone comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display and packs a 2-megapixel rear photo snapper with video recording capabilities.

There are no details on the amount of storage, but we know it features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). In addition, Telstra has confirmed that the Smart Touch 2 will be shipped with a free 2GB memory card in the sales package. Check it out here.
