Regional carrier SaskTel has just added the entry-level Huawei Ascend Y300 to its portfolio of Android smartphones. Aimed at youngsters, the handset offers a decent specs-sheet to those who can’t afford to purchase top of the line devices.

As MobileSyrup points out, Huawei Ascend Y300 can now be purchased via SaskTel online store for only $120 CAD ($115 USD / €85) outright. Customers can also grab it for free on a two-year agreement.

Huawei Ascend Y300 ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a more than decent 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 203 graphics processing unit and 512MB of RAM.

The smartphone supports HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps), and sports a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.
