Reality star Shain Gandee, whom fans might know from MTV’s “Buckwild,” has died. His body was found in West Virginia, near Sissonville, in a truck, with two other bodies, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The two other persons in the car were Gandee’s uncle and an unidentified male. The two relatives had been reported missing for 31 hours at the time the discovery was made.

“According to local TV station WCHS, Gandee, 21, was found in a vehicle along with the body of his uncle, David Gandee, 48, and another man, who has not been identified,” the publication reports.

“The two men had reportedly planned to go four-wheeling in their SUV and were last seen at a Sissonville bar at 3 a.m. on Sunday,” adds the same media outlet.

The truck was found in a ditch and, though there’s no official word of this being an accident, police say they’re not suspecting any foul play in the tragedy.

MTV has issued a statement in relation to Gandee’s passing, stressing what a loss this is both for the fans and for the network, but also for everyone who came to know him.

“We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident,” the network says.

“We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly,” the statement from MTV continues.

Though incredibly popular, “Buckwild” did not steer clear of controversy, mostly because of the behavior of some of its stars in real life.

In February this year, for instance, Salwa Amin was arrested for drug possession after police conducted an extensive raid on a farm where she and two other men were selling drugs, as we also informed you at the time.
