14 DAY TRIAL // For many, soap bubbles made their childhood brighter, that's for sure. Today, they can bring color and light our Windows 7 PC’s desktop, courtesy of a new theme coming from Microsoft.
The new Bubbles theme appears to have been designed so as to make us smile once again through bringing these small shimmering orbs to our desktop.
The high-resolution images that have been included in this theme pack feature bubbles photographed out in the open, putting together light and colors, or some shot against dark backgrounds, which further stress on the great colors that these fragile spheres of soap sport.
Microsoft has put together all these images in an attempt to come up with a theme capable of easily keeping you entertained throughout the day. All you have to do is to have a look at your desktop's background each time you feel the need for a break.
“Little children are expert appreciators of bubbles, and here's your chance to re-learn the fine art of bubble appreciation yourself, with these images of gorgeous shimmering orbs wafting through the air. Add them to your desktop with this free Windows 7 theme and keep yourself entertained for hours,” Microsoft notes.
The new theme was specifically designed for the company’s Windows 7 operating system and Microsoft recommends its use on Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions.
However, the theme should easily prove compatible with the Windows 8 Developer Preview as well, just as many other themes before it did. Those who have the new platform release installed on their desktop PCs should give it a try.
The new Bubbles theme arrives as part of a series of other similar software from Microsoft, aimed at bringing our desktops to life through combining color, light and shadows.
The Marbles theme, the Ice Water theme, and the Party Ice theme that were pushed out over the past few weeks are similar examples. Moreover, those who would like to try something fit for the holiday season can get the Decorating the Trees and Decking the Halls themes for a spin.
