Stands in sharp contrast with portable and micro projectors

Looks like small and easy to hide projectors are not the only things that have been invented over the past few months, with BriteWerks having released one that is both large and mighty.

The last projector we talked about was the Velocity Micro Shine, a very small item that could fit in a pocket.

Obviously, the images it can cast on walls or ceilings are not as large and crisp as they would have been if the company had sacrificed compactness for ability.

It so happens that BryteWerks had no reservations about doing this very thing.

The company created the Model One line of digital projectors, powered by Intel Core CPUs (central processing units).

Both consumers and professionals should be able to find a use for them, provided they can afford the prices (between $2,449/1,913 Euro and $5,999/4,696 Euro).

That said, the members of the Model One line can create images in resolutions of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.

The brightness is considerable, from 6,000 to 11,000 lumens, while the contrast ratio is of 1,000:1.

Additionally, the 1:1 throw is of one to fifty feet (0.30 to 15.24 meters).

BryteWerks claims that the above make the Model One “the very best, all-purpose digital projectors in their class.”

For those who want the rest of the specifications, the company chose Intel Core i3 to Core i7 central processing units.

The exact chips are the ones normally employed by HTPCs (home-theater personal computers). Verily, these could be called projector/HTPC hybrids.

That said, if one were to pick them apart, one might find solid state drives with capacity of 500 GB.

The list goes on with WiFi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, dual USB, HDMI, 5.1 analog surround sound and a cable management system that hides the interfaces in the Mag-Snap feet.

Finally, owners won't need to worry about it being damaged easily, as it is “rugged, if not bulletproof” enough that even military applications are considered viable.
