A brutally honest teen pregnancy prevention strategy has been accused of trying to shame teen mothers in NYC, Business Insider reports.

Posters plastered in subway and bus stations picture children having a hard time because their parents had them when they were very young.

Among those problems are a lack of proper education and financial issues brought on by teens not realizing that they have to provide for their kids.

“Honestly Mom, chances are he won't stay with you. What happens to me?,” one tagline reads. It basically brings an adult's perspective into discussion, as statistics show that 90 percent of teen parents do not end up getting married to one another.

Teen mother Natasha Vianna dubs the campaign intimidating, explaining that it prompts isolation among girls in this position, on her blog, The Push Back.
