In what could be a potentially controversial – yet very funny – trend, Bruce Willis appeared on David Letterman’s Late Show with a “hairpiece” made entirely of meat – and had the host eat from it.

Bruce Willis, always the guy to count on for a good laugh, walked in on the set with something that looked like a red helmet on his head and which, he proudly announced, was his new hairpiece.

Unlike regular hairpieces, this one wasn’t made of hair, though it was 100 percent natural, by all means: the piece covering the bald actor’s head was made of meat.

“You’ve, uh, you’ve dyed your hair?” Letterman asked, seemingly confused. See the entire appearance in the video below.

Willis didn’t even bat an eyelid, let alone burst out laughing, when he responded calmly, “No, this is all natural.”

“It’s 100% ground beef sirloin. Top shelf, organic,” he went on to say, as if with the utmost pride.

He then proceeded to enumerate the many advantages of his new piece, including how he could wash with it in the shower and not have it go bad during the summer.

“Showering, not a problem,” the actor said. “Lather, rinse, repeat... tenderize. You gotta give it a little rub,” he further explained.

He then took out salt, pepper and a fork, inviting Letterman to take a bite of his hairpiece, just in case he hadn’t eaten anything that day.

Surprisingly, this is exactly what the host does – and then walks out the set quickly to spit the bite out, to which Willis coyly asks “Too much pepper, eh?”

Bruce Willis was on the show to promote his latest film “Red,” which sees him, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary Louise Parker and Helen Mirren as a former agents team forced to reunite after many years to confront a common enemy.
