On her most recent appearance on Entertainment Tonight (video below), Kim Kardashian broke her months-long silence to address certain rumors about step-dad’s Bruce Jenner’s alleged transition from male to female.

She didn’t exactly confirm them, but she did speak of a “journey” that he would address when he was comfortable doing it. Yesterday, word got out that this would happen soon, on a new E! docuseries / TV special, which would focus solely on his life post-divorce and his transition.

Bruce is in charge

TMZ is now reporting that, though Kris Jenner is the one pulling the strings on the entire Kardashian – Jenner business empire, and that includes all her daughters’ business endeavors and the reality shows, she will not have a say in Bruce’s new reality show.

He is the one calling “all the shots,” insiders familiar with the situation reveal, from how the show is shot to the details it would reveal. Apparently, Bruce will allow whichever family member asking to be shown to be in it, even Kris, but he is not letting his ex make any decisions about the directions of the project.

“A significant portion of the docuseries will involve Bruce's interaction with doctors, discussing procedures and goals. It will also deal with psychological implications,” the report further notes.

Kris won’t be involved, so that means she won’t get to make any money off it.

May or June estimated premiere

E! is keeping mum on plans for such a reality show, which, in some circles, has been interpreted as solid confirmation that it’s coming. When and if it does, it will be groundbreaking because no other mainstream channel has carried such a project before.

The fact that Bruce is such a high-profile celebrity, both because of his past accomplishments in sports and his association with the most popular family in reality television in recent years, will help shed more light on a very serious topic, and thus offer more exposure to the LGBT community.

TMZ says that the network is looking at a possible May or June premiere date, and that all efforts go into marketing it as a separate reality show from the family series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. To that end, it will air only after the KUWTK finale.

This past week, Bruce has been seen out and about more often than before, and every time he was accompanied by a camera crew. If we’re to believe tabloid media, on his most recent outings, following Kim’s comment about his “journey,” he sported plumper lips, French manicure and wore his long hair down, in a way he hasn’t done before.
