A few weeks ago, (“coincidentally”) before Kris Jenner’s brand new cook book came out in stores, word got out that her soon-to-be-ex-husband Bruce Jenner, from whom she had separated about one year earlier, was dating her best friend.

What’s worse, they’d tried to keep it a secret from her and she was devastated and had been crying herself to sleep ever since the second she found out about it.

Kris wasn’t devastated or upset, as she made sure to stress in the many interviews she gave later to promote her book. What a lucky coincidence that she would have one more hot topic landed in her lap just as she was doing a press tour!

No coincidence, Bruce Jenner was set up

A new report in Radar Online claims that there was no coincidence in the timing of the romance report: it was Kris behind the leak all along, insiders close to the family reveal.

She knew Bruce and Ronda Kamihira, her best friend (and former personal assistant), had been out at an Elton John concert a few days before, and she worked from there, leaking rumors to the tabloids just so she could have something to talk about during her cookbook press tour.

She will also be using this storyline in the upcoming episode of the family reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, from which Bruce can’t retire right now, no matter how badly he wants to.

Bruce too believes that Kris set him up and that she’s the one leaking stories to the tabloids, and he’s actually shocked that she would be using him like this. He expected a bit more from her where he was concerned.

“During recent filming with Kris, the two argued about Bruce spending time with Ronda,” says a spy. “It came out of nowhere, and Bruce immediately realized he had been set up. Kris is making a big deal of their friendship for the show.”

Creating fake storylines is not new territory for reality television

If you’re still among those few people who believe reality shows are even remotely “real,” we have bad news for you: they’re not. Most of the events depicted are scripted, and in extreme cases, the dialog and monologues are too.

In recent months, we’ve witnessed another worrying trend: reality stars create drama just so they have something to show on their reality series. So they’re not just scripting the show whilst production, they’re actually planning ahead, to have something to keep fans interested.

Several theories indicate that this is the case with the cheating scandals involving celebrity couples Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, and Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, to name only the most famous.
